I was looking for a particular Vortex scope for an upcoming deer hunt the following weekend with my boys. I ordered the scope from OpticsPlanet on Saturday the week before and paid extra for 2 day shipping since I had to have it for the hunt.

Wednesday arrives and I don't receive the scope so I call their service dept and they re-imburse me the 2 day shipping charge. I ask if I should go ahead and get a refund and look for a comparable scope in my area, this is when they tell they can't refund my money because "technically" it's my scope even though I had not received it yet, this did not sit well. They kept telling me that it was basically UPS's fault and not theirs, the only way they would refund my money is to wait for the scope and send it back for a refund. The next morning(Thurs) I call UPS with the tracking number and I'm informed that they never picked it up and that it is not in their possession.

Now I'm mad, I call right after this and they try to tell me again that UPS has it, I inform them that I already spoke with UPS and that they didn't have it. I demand a refund again and tell them that anyone can create shipping label and hide from responsibility with it, they apologize and again tell me they cannot refund me my money, I respond by giving them my attorney's name and that I was personally going to pay for an ad in Outdoor Life and Field&Stream magazine and relate my experience if they did not refund my money. I ask to speak with a supervisor and get put on hold, the girl comes back a while later and says(rudely) they will refund the money but that when the scope finally arrives they are going to charge my card again and that I will have to send it back to be refunded AGAIN!! Idiots!

It took over a week to re-imburse my bank card and when I would call they would get very short with me and said it was my banks fault for taking so long even though the shipping charge was credited immediately when I asked for it at the very beginning of trouble. Now 2 weeks later the scope arrives and I'm supposed to send it back and trust them with a refund??

You got to be kidding me, the worst experience ever with an internet/phone order company. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!
